Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />(209) 468-3420 <br />January 25, 1994 COPY <br />THE CITY OF TRACY <br />ATTN PAUL VERMA <br />520 TRACY BLVD <br />TRACY CA 95376 <br />RE: Cage N Play IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 503733 <br />68 E. 11th St. <br />Tracy, CA 95376 <br />San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has recently reviewed <br />the analytical results of the soil and/or water results taken from beneath the underground storage tank(s) that <br />were removed from this site on October 23, 1993. <br />The presence of contaminates at your facility exceed the allowable limits of leaching potential as recommended <br />by the LUFT Manual'. The former underground storage tank(s) (UST) cannot be recommended for final <br />closure without further investigation to determine the frill extent of the soil and/or groundwater problem. <br />In addition, PHS/EHD is providing you notification that an "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release <br />(Leak)/Contaminated Site Report" has been filed pursuant to Section 25295 (a) of the Health and Safety Code. <br />In addition, the appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge pursuant to Section 25180.7 of the Health <br />and Safety Code has been made. <br />Should you wish to mitigate the contamination documented at your facility, San Joaquin County PHS/EHD has <br />been designated by the State of California Water Resources Control Board as the local agency overseeing the <br />investigation of leaking UST's. Contact the PHS/EHD Site Mitigation Unit for further information regarding <br />this matter at (209) 468-3450. <br />Ernest M.
