COPY
U
January 19, 1996
Donna Heran, Division Manager
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
C11C
We have reviewed the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory;(LLNQ report on leaking
underground storage tank cleanup. Based on this report, canwe expect changes in the cleanup
processes being used in the City of Stockton? We would like to discuss the impact this re ort
and its probable acceptance may have on sites with remediation currently in progress. p
We have a meeting scheduled on January 30, 1996, at 1:30 p.m. with Dianne Hinson's group
to review the status of our sites. If possible, we would like to include this issue on the agenda
for that meeting. Since the City has a number of unmet needs, we are very concerned about
spending funds unnecessarily for remediation.
JAMES ESCOBAR
DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/O&M
JE:eh
I cc: James B.
