Environmental Management • P.O.Box 5095
Room 3E000
1/`_J/♦ San Ramon,CA 94583
December 21, 2004
Margaret Lagorio,
Supervising REHS C C 2 C. 2J 1
Environmental Health Department
San Joaquin County
304 East Webber Ave.
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: SBC Facility
7644 Ashley Lane
Stockton, CA
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
This is a response to your letter of December 8, 2004 requesting additional information
regarding the shallow injection well noted during a facility inspection on September 16,
2004.
The drain in the backup generator room was initially sealed with a metal cap to prevent
any releases from the equipment room from entering the drain. On December 14, 2004
the Building Specialist for the facility placed concrete in the drain. The concrete seal
extends from the floor surface to approximately 12 inches below grade.
I was not able to locate any indication of a release into the engine room drain prior to
closing of the drain. The Building Specialist indicated that the floor around the drain was
clean and dry at the time of the concrete placement.
Attached is a copy of the Inventory of Injection Wells form that is being submitted to the
USEPA in San Francisco.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please call me at(925) 824-
5784.
Thank you,
'd11V
"Matt Hopwood
Environmental Manager
Attachment
