Fremont Street
Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)has recently reviewed
our underground storage tank file for the above referenced site.
On November 18, 1988, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) wrote a letter
to the responsible parties for this site and stated that they had reviewed the data submitted by Kaldveer
Associates for this site and that the file for this site would be closed (copy enclosed).
PHS/EI D staff disagreed with this finding in February 1989 and in a phone conversation with you it was
agreed that the site would remain on the contaminated site list.
PHS/EHD is currently prioritizing its contaminated sites. Therefore,we request that CVRWQCB reevaluate
the above referenced site for closure status. The depth to groundwater at this site is less than 10 feet and
a groundwater investigation as recommended and outlined in the Tri Regional Board Staff Recommendations
has never been conducted. Please provide PHS/EI D and the responsible parties with the results of your
evaluation as soon as possible.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3449.
Ernest M.
