IV. Level D bevel D protection shall beused when: <br /> 1 . The atmosphere contains no known hazard; and <br /> 2. Work functions preclude splashes, immersion, or the <br /> potential for unexpected inhalation of or contact with <br /> hazardous levels of any chemicals. <br /> Note: As stated before, combinations of personalprotective <br /> equipment other than those described for Levels A, B, C, <br /> Gnd D protection may be more appropriate and may be used <br /> o <br /> Provide the proper level of protection. <br /> C: Modified Levels of Protection: Modified Levels of Protection are <br /> Listed Below: <br /> I. Modified Level C - As Listed Below <br /> 1 . Full-face or half-mask, air purifying respirators or <br /> Powered Air Purifying respirator (PAPR) <br /> (NIOSH approved) . <br /> 2. Hooded chemical-resistant disposable clothing suitable <br /> for the hazard, as directed by the SSM. <br /> 3. Gloves, outer, chemical-resistant-Arm Length <br /> 4 . Gloves, inner, chemical-resistant or Latex-as <br /> directed by the SHM. <br /> 5 . Boots, chemical-resistant steel toe and shank. <br /> 6. Hard hat. <br /> 7. Face shield or Chemical splash goggles (when Full- <br /> APR is NOT worn) face <br /> IV. Modified Level D - As Listed Below <br /> 1 . Coveralls. <br /> 2 . Gloves-as directed by the SHM. <br /> 3. Boots/shoes, chemical-resistant steel toe and shank. <br /> 4 . Boots, outer, chemical-resistant (disposable) . (1) <br /> 5. Safety glasses or chemical splash goggles. <br /> 6.
