The results of the soil sampling indicate
that significant soil contamination is present at the site; however,
ground water is not involved.
An underground fuel storage tank was removed at the Pacific Bell
Stockton facility in April , 1988. Soil samples obtained from beneath
the tank contained petroleum hydrocarbons, which were identified by
Eureka Laboratories, Inc. , as diesel fuel . On May 12, 1988, the results
were reported to the San Joaquin Local Health District (SJLHD) in a
report by LBME Corporation. With the approval of the SJLHD, a site
assessment was conducted on October 31, and November 1, 1988. The
results of that assessment are presented in this report.
2.0 ENVIRONMENTAL SETTING
2. 1 Site Location
The Pacific Bell facility is located at 7644 Ashley Road, Stockton,
California.
