In the event any spill or other emergency does occur Cherokee Memorial Park employees will : report the emergency to the day foreman. The day foreman will : A. Shut off the electri.cty to the pumps at the emergency pump switch. B. Determine if the alarm is an actual emergency or art equipment malfunction by pressing the system test button on the alarm panel. C. Determine if the release or threatened release poses a significant present or potential hazard to human health, safety, property or the environment by rising the following criteria: 1. Employee safety. 2. Public Safety. 3. Ouantity of released or potentially released material. 4. Off site consequences if any. 5. Material type and conditions of release. ( i. e. flammable liquid released into a storm drain etc. ) D. If the release or threatened release is determined to be significant, the day foreman or other employee ( if the foreman is not available) as soon as notification can be provided without impeding immediate control of the release and without impeding emergency medical meas-res will : 1. Notify employer. c. Notify the administering agency by calling (209) 468- 3969 and the State warning center (800)852-7550 and Jim Thorpe Oil, Inc. , Emergency response contractor (209) 368-6175. E. Include the following information: 1. Exact location of the release or threatened release. 2. Name of the person reporting the release or, threatened release. 3. The hazardous material . r materials involved. 4. Estimated quantities involved. 5. The potential hazards presented by the material if known.
