The 10,000 -gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST) was <br />removed on July 28, 1993. <br />The scope of our work included sampling and laboratory testing of soils <br />obtained from the UST excavation. The UST was removed by Post <br />Construction, under permit and inspection of San Joaquin County Public <br />Health Services (SJCPHS) and the City of Stockton Fire Department. The <br />removal and sampling were witnessed by Mr. Letitia Briggs of SJCPHS. <br />Materials Testing <br />Two soil samples were collected from the bottom of the excavation. One soil <br />sample, T1A, was collected from approximately 13 feet below surface grade <br />beneath the northerly end (fill end) of the UST. The second soil sample, T1B, <br />was collected from approximately 12 feet below surface grade beneath the <br />3050 Industrial Blvd. <br />southern end of the UST.
