e. Backfilling and Compaction <br />Since no chemical hazards are anticipated during this phase there is no need for chemical protective <br />measures. While traffic control barriers are to remain in place, the internal contamination control zones <br />can be removed. The excavation safety requirements described in this plan will apply. <br />Minimum protective clothing for this phase of operations is the same as previously prescribed, (Level D). <br />VIL Personal Injury Emergencies <br />In the event of an emergency situation, immediate action must be taken by the first person to recognize the event. The Urst <br />Aid Kit is located in the company vehicle designated as the emergency vehicle. Ingestion <br />Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by emergency medical personnel. Note the <br />ingested substance (bring the container if possible and immediately transport to local <br />Hospital, or call emergency response services at 911. <br />2). Inhalation <br />If you can do so without harming yourself, move the injured worker away from the source of the <br />contaminant. If breathing has stopped, perform artificial respiration on the victim. If the heart <br />has stopped perform CPR. Call for emergency response services 911 immediately. <br />D-6 <br />
