O. Box 2009
Stockton, Calif . 95201
Subject: UST Removal at 10500 S. Harlan Road, French Camp
Gentlemen:
Enclosed for your review is a copy of the sampling of testing
report as prepared by Wallace-Kuhl Assoc. During our tank
removal on April 22, 1992. Please review and provide us with
your comments.
Given the proximity of the excavation of the 2 , 000 gallon
waste oil tank to the daily pedestrian and vehicular traffic
within our yard, I request your assistance in mitigating the
current hazard exposure (open excavation and adjacent
material stockpile) by permitting us to backfill this
excavation as soon as possible with the stockpile soil . As
shown in Table One, the motor oil concentration is very low
and poses no significant threat to groundwater. We therefore
request your permission to backfill this location with the
adjacent stockpile material without delay.
In addition, the stockpiles shown as Stk 1, 2 and 3 on Plate
No. 1 pose a nuisance in their existing location and we would
like to move these stockpiles to a location on the site
approximately 200 ' south of their existing location. This
would allow us to utilize the needed secured storage area of
our site. The material would be transported by a 5 cy
capacity front end loader, operated by an employee who has
completed 40 hour hazardous material training.
After consideration of the foregoing, please call me at
982-4750 to advise me.
Very truly yours,
GRANITE CONSTRUCTTIION COMPANY
qZ90 —
James H.
