SECTION 11 .0 SAFETY/ORIENTATION TRAINING <br /> 11 . 1 FORMAL TRAINING <br /> All Wright field personnel are trained in accordance with all applicable OSHA regulations <br /> pertaining to personal safety and hazardous materials handling and decontamination. Wright's <br /> health and safety program is in full compliance with 29 CFR, Part 1910, including the OSHA <br /> interim ruling which amends CERCLA and sets specific standards for medical survelliance and <br /> training. Copies of training documentation are available on request by notifying Mr. John Lynch <br /> in our Tracy office at (209) 833-0758. <br /> Wright field personnel have extensive knowledge of various construction work and the tools in <br /> which to do their work. Personnel are trained in confined space entry, line breaking, supplied <br /> air and use of air monitoring equipment. <br /> This formal training is supplemented by daily tail-gate safety briefing and additional site- <br /> specific training as required. <br /> 11 .2 TAILGATE SAFETY MEETINGS <br /> Short job site Tailgate Safety Meetings will be conducted at the beginning of each shift for each <br /> job or more frequently if new employees arrive at the job site. All workers and supervisors <br /> will be expected to attend. Health and safety concerned pertaining to the operations planned for <br /> that day will be discussed. The meetings will also include any procedures that may be necessary <br /> for safety, or other considerations as determined the the Site Safety Officer, such as change in <br /> temperature, wind velocity, or precipitation. Attendance and participation records will be <br /> retained, and will become part of the project file. <br />
