Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> SUBJECT: UNAU'T'HORIZED RELEASE REPORT <br /> Dear Sir/Madam: <br /> The following is submitted as required by section 2652 of Title <br /> 23, concerning unauthorized release reporting requirements for <br /> underground storage tanks. Section 2652(c) states that "within 5 <br /> working days of detecting the release, the operator or permittee <br /> shall submit to the local agency a full written report to include <br /> all of the following information which is known at the time of <br /> filing the report: " <br /> Section 2652 (c) (1) : "List of type, quantity, and concentration <br /> of hazardous substances released. " The release is of an <br /> undetermined amount of petroleum product. The type of petroleum <br /> product and concentration is unknown. <br /> Section 2652 (c) (2) : "The results of all investigations <br /> completed at that time to determine the extent of soil or ground <br /> water or surface water contamination due to the release. " Two <br /> soil samples were collected upon removal of the tanks on 23 May <br /> 1988. The results will be available sometime during the week of <br /> 6 June 1988. <br /> Section 2652 (c) (3) : "Method of cleanup implemented to date, <br /> proposed cleanup actions, and approximate cost of actions taken <br /> to date. " Plans have been made to immediately pump out all <br /> standing product in the tank excavation. A consultant will be <br /> hired to begin remedial action planning. The cost of actions <br /> taken to date has not been determined. <br /> Section 2652 (c) (4) : "Method and location of disposal of the <br /> released hazardous substance and any contaminated soils or <br /> groundwater or surface water ( indicate whether a hazardous waste <br /> manifestCs3 is utilized. " All recoverable petroleum products <br /> will be collected for recycling. All unrecyclable hazardous <br /> wastes will be manifested and disposed of at a Class I facility. <br />
