R. Simplot <br /> fertilizer manufacturing and agricultural chemicals iormulation <br /> facility in Lathrop, California. The underground diesel storage <br /> tank is not reported because the tank was emptied and taken out of <br /> service on 28 December 198/. The underground gasoline storage <br /> tank was emptied and taken out of service on 12 March 11188. <br /> lnventory variations exceeded the allowable limits for this <br /> quarter. These variations are listed below: <br /> LATE TANK AMOUNT <br /> 02/02/88 Gasoline -89 <br /> 02/08/88 Gasoline -8'2 <br /> The sources for the above listed variations were not due to <br /> unauthorized releases. The average daily variation for the <br /> gasoline tank was -3. 3 gallons, or 4.4% of the allowable <br /> variation. <br /> Also enclosed are the bills sent to our facility for the under- <br /> ground storage tank operating permit. In a telephone conversation <br /> with Mr. Jaime Favila of the San Joaquin Local Health District, he <br /> stated that since our facility bad submitted a permanent closure <br /> plan for the two underground tanks before 15 February 1988, we <br /> were not required to pay the operating permit fee. <br /> If you have any questions, please call John Mallen at <br /> 209/858-2911 , extension 4226.
