rte' r
COAST COUNTIES EXPRESS, INC.
3306 GLENDALE BLVD. /LOS ANGELES, CA 90039
(213) 661-2108 / TLX: 691441
December 21, 1984
Broggie Mobil Oil Company
Post Office Box 912
Tracy, California 95376
Gentlemen:
We have registered with the California Water Resources Control
Board the two 1,000 gallon underground diesel storage tanks owned
by you and installed at the Tracy truck terminal (4131 Industrial
Way) we lease from the property owner.
This registration and fee was action taken by us to avert very
heavy fines if not done by January 1, 1985. The law appears to
require the 'OWNER" to register all underground tanks, however,
we have been unable to get a definition of 'OWNER" from the
personnel at the Control Board in Sacramento. That is: is the
"OWNER" the tank owner, the property owner, or the tenant lessee?
Eventually this question will be resolved, but at this time it
was imperative to protect whoever may eventually be responsible,
so we have taken this action to register the tanks. A copy of
the registration forms (1 for each tank) is attached for your
information and file.
Very truly yours,
J. A.
