A log must be kept <br /> of these inspections. At a mini,mm,, annually, fire extinguishers must be inspected <br /> by a oonpetent agency and dated. Fire extinguishers must have clearly indicated uses <br /> and limits information. <br /> A fire notification or alarm system must be established and ccuumtmicated to all <br /> employees. <br /> The telephone number for the local fire rise agency must be prominently posted in <br /> the work place or located where every employee has immediate access. <br /> Smoki. will be prohibited in all areas where flammable, oortustible, or similar <br /> hazardous materials are stored, expert in those locations specifically provided for <br /> such purpose and approved Site Health and Safety Officer. <br /> All major motorized eouirr ent will be equipped with a fire extinguisher of a type and <br /> make approved by the National Board of Fire Underwriters. <br /> Fire lanes to provide access to all areas will be maintained free of obstruction. <br /> Material storage will be arranged to minimize the spread of fire internally and to <br /> permit access for fire fighting. <br /> Clearance will be maintained around lights and heating units to prevent ignition of <br /> oorbustible materials. <br /> All sources of ignition will be prohibited in areas where flammable liquids are <br /> stored, handled, and processed.
