California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will require the <br /> services of an Environmental Services Contractor, to: <br /> 1.. perform sampling and testing of soil ,, and of- groundwater if required,, <br /> to determine if- tank leakage has occurred,. and: <br /> 2. Submit an investigative summary report for the site investigations for <br /> the underground tank located at the. Southern pacific Railroad Company's spur <br /> tracks in the- City- of Stockton. <br /> 3. To remove and properly dispose of the underground tank, any possible. <br /> contamination,, and backfill the. excavated area. <br /> Caltrans will assign a Contract Administrator to monitor the work outlined <br /> in this proposal for bid. This Contract Administrator, acting, as the <br /> representative of Caltrans,. will be advised- by the applicable regulatory <br /> agencies. <br /> Caltrans or its agents have permission to enter the property and perform <br /> the required work. <br /> PRE-JOB- CONFERENCE. <br /> Prior- to start of work, the Contract. Administrator• and the Contractor will <br /> meet to discuss: the• proposed order- of work and the- time frame• in- which the work <br /> is to be performed. The discussions may include, but are not limitedto, <br /> method of operation at the work site, transportation plan for disposing of <br /> underground tank, contaminated waste material, excavation and backfill , testing <br /> methods and timely results of tests. <br /> PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> The Contractor will be required to submit statements of- qualifications as <br /> part of the bid for himself and any subcontractor he proposes to use to <br /> complete the work.. <br /> I.. The statement of qualifications shall be supported by: <br /> a. A list of hazardous waste or tank/test. removal contracts held within• <br /> the last three years . Identify the sponsoring agency, contract <br /> amount, character of work, contracting officer's representative, <br /> contract number,. address and telephone number of contact person. <br /> Identify all regulatory agencies (include staff contact(s) dealt with <br /> each contract) . <br /> b. Lists of governmental permits, licenses or certifications possessed by <br /> contractor relevant to investigation, analysis, and' disposal of <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> c. Lists of• boring, sampling and laboratory Equipment owned by contractor <br /> suitable for investigating hazardous waste sites. <br /> d. Lists of the personnel employed by the Contractor who are qualified to <br /> work with hazardous wastes . Include educational , professional and <br /> experience qualifications. <br />
