Piping above grade shall be Schedule 40 galvanized pipe.
2. Piping below grade shall be fiberglass or corrosion protected steel.
3. Pipe threads shall be clean cut and coated with pipe Joint sealing
compound and tightened to refusal.
4. Piping between Collection Unit and Process Unit to slope down towards
Collection Unit. ( Mln. 1/8" per ft.)
5. Collection Unit Inlet and outlet lines shall be sloped to allow drainage of
liquid to a storage tank or a dosed sump with access for pump out.
( Min. 1/8" per ft.)
6. Process Unit shall be located outside of classified area if less than 10 feat
from Collection Unit. ( See instillation instructions )
7. Ground mounted Process Unit to have a 12 foot high overfill protection
loop ahead of Process Unit. ( See Instillation instructions)
B. Ground mounted units to be protected against vehicle damage by bumper
posts or other suitable means of protection.
9. Process Unit to be located so as to meet minimum distances to vents and
fuel transfer points specified by California State Fire Marshall.
10. All lank openings shall be vapor tight with a submerged fill and a positive
seating dry break.
11. Pressure Decay Test (GARB TP -201.3) to be performed to ensure system
integrity. ( See instillation instructions )
12. Air -to -Liquid ratio test (CARE TP -210.5 or TP 201.5A) to be performed
after installation to verify proper system operation.
NOTE:
1. Refer to instillation instructions supplied with unit for specific and detailed
directions for instillation of system.
2. Instillation to comply with the following
California Air Resources Board Executive Orders
A- Phase 1 Vapor Recovery System
Tow Point Fill System #G -70-2-G Exi bit #2
B.
