United States Gasohol Corporation (hereafter .Discharger) submitted a report <br /> of waste discharge dated 16 September 1980. <br /> 2. The. Discharger has purchased the Steck on. Distiller- Corporation Facilities <br /> (formerly Lockeford Winery) and proposes to produce alcohol from molasses for <br /> use in the production of gasohol. <br /> 3. The facilities are located in the southwest 1/4 of Section. 36, T4N, R7E, <br /> MDB&M, one mile southwest of Lockeford. <br /> 4. The report of waste discharge indicates a minimum flow of .06 ."LCD (2.6 1/sec) <br /> and a maximum .367 MGD (16 1/sec) . <br /> 5. The Discharger proposes to operata 12 months a year and discharge high BOD <br /> and suspended solids stillage, cooling water, and wash water to 27 acres <br /> (11 ha) of evaporation/}percolation ponds or checks. <br /> 6. Treatment of such wastewaters in the Lockeford area is expected to require <br /> strict operational controls to prevent odor nuisance, especially in winter <br /> months. <br /> % The Di?charger plans to install an evaporator/dryer within approximately one <br /> year which will separate solids and improve the quality and treatability of the <br /> wastewater. This change will constitute a material change in the character <br /> and volume of the wastewater. <br /> 3. Domestic sewage will br. di.:3ch2rged to a septic tar_k-.`ea,Mhfield system, <br /> 9. Area soils consist of alluvial fan deposits, generally moderate''y permeable <br /> heterogeneous, discontinuous gravel, .sand and clay. Ground water is generally <br /> 80-100 feet below the ground SUY'Lace. <br /> 10. The Board on 21 March 07_5 adopted Board Order No. 75-64 which prescribed <br /> requirements for a discharge from Stockton Distillery Corporation!. <br /> 11. Present waste discharge requiremezLs established by Board Order tdo. 75-£4 are <br /> neither aaeq ate nor consistent with present plans and poziciey of Lhe hoard. <br />
