Soil samples <br /> obtained and analyzed by Canoni'e Environmental Services indicated soil <br /> contamination was present under tank #2 and #4 at the following levels: <br /> Benzene Ethyl Benzene Toluene Xylene TPHC Total Lead <br /> ( Tank #1 ND ND ND ND ND <br /> Tank #2 ND ND ND <br /> Tank #3 ND ND ND ND ND 34Dpm <br /> ND ND ND ND <br /> 'Tank #4 ND <br /> 68 nom 120 ppm 370 nam 3100 ppm ND <br /> (Source: Attached reports dated 4-1-87) <br /> Based upon the above test results further excavation and testing was <br /> necessary under tank #2 and tank #4 , Contaminated soil to 161 feet from <br /> the surface beneath tank #2 was excavated and reportedly hauled to <br /> an approved disposal site . Contaminated soil to 16 feet from the surface <br /> beneath tank #4 was excavated and aer6'ted on site for use as excavation <br /> fill . Resample results taken at the above identified depths under tank <br /> #2 and #4 were as follows: <br /> Benzene Ethyl Benzene Toluene Xylene TPHC Total Lead <br /> Tank #2 NA NA NA NA NA <br /> 2 .0 ppm <br /> Tank #4 ND ND 3.Oppm <br /> ND ND 47 ppm NA <br /> ND NA ND ND ND NA <br /> (Source: Attached reports dated 9-27-87) <br /> The above test results indicate that further subsurface site <br /> assessment under tank #2 and #4 are not required at this time. <br />
