On January 9th, he received
an inspection report from Laurie Cotulla stating that the
preliminary report of the lab analysis results and soil tests
indicated contamination present in the soil at the site. Because
we have a very large hole there, presenting an extreme safety
hazard, we are most interested in taking care of the situation
as soon as possible. Mr. Mullen willbe out of town and he has
asked that I contact you regarding requirements for the site
assessment plan as noted in Ms. Cotulla's inspection report.
She did indicate that the local health district had no objection
to our back filling the excavation; however, we would like to be
sure that all of the appropriate testing and perhaps removal of
contaminated soil is done prior to that back filling. The District
and Mr. Mullen have the following questions:
-May we obtain a copy of the preliminary report which
was used by your agency to determine the presence of
contamination?
-May we receive a final copy of any report which you
receive from California Water Laboratories?
-What are the requirements of a site assessment plan?
-Were the samples previously taken by California Water
Lab adequate for the required site assessment, (partic-
ularly as it relates to vertical and horizontal testing)?
