PUBLIC AEALTH SERVICES
PVN
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M. D., M.P.H., Acting Health Officer
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor • Stockton, CA 95202 6i
209/468-3420
MEMORANDUM COPY OPY
DATE: March 24, 1997
TO: Rick McCauley
R.H.L. Design Group
650 Howe Ave, Suite 504
Sacramento, CA 95825
FROM: Letitia Briggs, Senior R.E.H.S.
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division
304 East Weber Street, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95207
RE: Underground Storage Tank (UST) Installation at 4943 S. State Route
99/E. Frontage Road, Stockton, CA 95206
During our phone calls on March 11 & 21, 1997, I requested information from
you specifying the exact equipment to be used for the UST installation at
Southland 7-Eleven. The following information needs to be submitted prior to
UST installation plan approval:
1. The contractor hired for this UST Installation.
2. Specify name and model# for primary and secondary piping to be
used at this site. Total Containment Environflex piping to be used
is not specifically indicated in the "cut sheet" book .
3. Specify the type of probe to be used for interstitial monitoring.
4. Specify type of Vaporless automatic mechanical line leak detector
to be used in monitoring piping. If the LD-2000E is used, an
annual line pressure test will be required because it will not
provide automatic "shut-off" of the pump in case of a leak.
5. During our conversation on March 21, 1997 you said the dispenser
sumps will exceed 12" . Therefore, monitoring probes will be
required for the dispenser sumps. Specify type of probe to be
used in the Dispenser sump and it's ability to provide automatic
"shut-off" at the pump.
6. Section IV piping Part 3 (3.2) states drawings are diagrammatic.
Submit "As Build" piping diagram after installation is completed.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Cam Services
