Any solids sludges, liquids, ect. left in tank are to be removed <br /> and handled/disposed of as hazardous waste. A hazardous <br /> waste manifest listing those products must be submitted to the SJLHD <br /> within 30 days of removal . <br /> 2. If tanks are to be used as scrap metal or reused, a receipt from <br /> the scrap yard, or others, must be submitted within 30 days of <br /> tank removal to the SJLHD. <br /> 3. Two samples must be taken from below each tank an analyzed for: <br /> a. BTX (EPA 8020) <br /> b. TPHC (EPA 8015 mod. ) <br /> NOTE: if water is noted in the excavation at the time of removal <br /> water samples for the above must also be taken. <br /> 4_ f any data is available from mnnitor- ng wells this information <br /> must be provided prior-to removal of these tanks . <br /> 5. Call for inspection 48 hrs. prior to removal, calls after 12: 00 <br /> cannot be scheduled for the following day. <br />
