Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Underground Wastewater Tank at Stockton Can Plant
Dear Mr. Moe:
This is to confirm our telephone conversation in which you were advised that
the statement in item 3 contained in the Closure Plan submitted to you by
American Environmental Management Corporation (contractor for tank removal) is
incorrect.
The tank did not previously contain "various solvents." It had been used for
mop water or wastewater up to the time of our acquisition of the facility in
1983. The tank has not been used since.
Further, please be informed of the status of the removal of this underground
tank. We are awaiting the result of the analysis done on the rain water
content. As soon as it is received, we will notify your office so that
inspection of tank removal process can be arranged.
Yours truly, /
Oscar M.
