Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Attention Mr. James Miller
Exxon Company, U.S.A. has contracted with Stockton Service Station Equipment
Company to remove one underground additive tank from the ST Services Terminal ,
located at 2941 Navy Drive, Stockton. As required by your regulations , the
soil and the water in the tank hole were sampled. The results of this
testing, which are attached, indicate the presence of gasoline and/or diesel .
The tank which we removed contained our proprietary additive and did not
contain either gasoline or diesel . As shown on the the attached Material
Safety Data Sheet, this additive contained xylene but no benzene or toluene.
The tank has no history of leakage , and did not show any visible evidence of
leaks when removed. Therefore, we believe that our tank was not the source of
the contamination found at the facility, and that any further investigation
should be conducted through ST Services .
If you have any questions or comments , please contact me at the above address
or on (713) 656-7752.
Sincerely,
C Q,
Carol A.
