r <br /> .Sump/Riser Extentions <br /> Both the 4' and 36" Sump/Risers have detached riser extentions which --------------- <br /> can be field'cut with a saber saw to tritappropriate height requirement for --.._:_-__--___ <br /> the given instillation.: Riser extentions have molded in cut guide lines, <br /> every 2 inches in height, to insure straight cutting. Make sure the guide _ <br /> lines are followed to provide an even set of the riser onto the Sump/Riser <br /> body. <br /> , <br /> Sump/Riser Sealing <br /> After the riser exfehtion has been cut to size it should then be set onto the <br /> 42" or 36" Sump/Riser body. Make sure the riser extention is positioned <br /> evenly on the Sump/Riser body before welding the joint. Using the <br /> Welding Rod provided; Speed-Tip Weld the Sump/Riser body and riser x <br /> extention joint. After joint wAing, make sure all screw holes at the <br /> Sump/Riser base h&e been sealed with welding rod. The hot air gun <br /> setting should be on V. <br /> f <br /> Street Box Manholes • <br /> When specifying the street accessmanholes, make sure their design will <br /> accomodate the 42", 36", 30" ,and 20." Sump/Riser. Refer to the me <br /> "Sump/Riser Specifications" -for , dimension specifications of all per' <br /> Sump/Risers. Ask your local Pipe Jacket Distributor or Total Containment,-. <br /> Inc. for a list of manufacturers in your area which produce street access . t rA <br /> manholes to accomodate these SumpAisers. � <br /> " . Sump/Riser .Monitoring _ <br /> Y]F <br /> It is recommended that electronic monitoring be used as well as periodic <br /> visual inspections of the Sump/Riser to determine if any leaking product has _ <br /> collected. Total Containment, Inc. manufactures the TCI Leak Detection <br /> System which is designed to provide continuous monitoring of any fluid - <br /> migration into the Sump/Riser.
