Pump out to <br />truck tank and apply to District right of ways that have a prior <br />history of weed oil applications. <br />Tank Purging: <br />Forced ventilation with engine power unit upwind of tank opening. <br />Grounding: Any metallic conduit inserted into tank shall be electrically <br />grounded to tank before insertion. <br />Permanent Closure in Place Steps: <br />I. Disconnect all accessable plumbing. <br />2. Plug remaining stubs with 9 sacks cement slurry. <br />3. Blow in inert sand to the lower 2/3 of tank volume (40 yds.3) <br />4. Pump in 9 sacks cement slurry with trimie tube to ends of tank. <br />Fill to top of tank. (Approx. 20 yds.3) <br />5. Pour dome section with 6 sacks of concrete and #6 rebar 12" o.c.. <br />6. Backfill to previous grade. <br />7. Record location of closed tank with San Joaquin County Recorder. <br />
