These Bills, require <br /> the inventory, inspection and permitting of all underground storage t..-Anks that <br /> contain hazardous materials. The San Joaquin Local Health District, Division <br /> of Environmental Health was designated as the enforcement agency for the <br /> cities and unincorporated -areas within San' Joaquin County. State law provides <br /> for a fee system to cover the cost of implementing this state mandated <br /> program. <br /> Local. fees (see attached Fee Schedule) , for these required inspectional <br /> services, will be billed on a yearly- basis. The facilities Permit to Operate <br /> will be iSSLIed for a five year period. In addition to the yearly <br /> inspectional fee, -this statement will. also include a $56/tank State surcharge <br /> fee. The State surcharge fee per tank will. be charged every five years or <br /> whenever -the facilities permit is renewed or amended. All State surcharge <br /> fees will be transmitted by the Health District to the California Water <br /> Resources Control Board. <br /> To apply for a facilities Permit to Operate, complete the attached Fee <br /> Worksheet and submit the appropriate fees. Fees are due and payable February <br /> 3, 1986. Fees received after March 6, 1986 are subject to 100% penalty. <br /> In order to answer any questions regarding this Underground Storage Tank: <br /> program, the San Joaquin Local. Health Distict Division of Environmental Health <br /> has scheduled the following information workshops" <br /> 1. Thursday, January 30, 1986, 1.0 AM <br /> 2. Monday, February 3, 1986, 2 PM <br /> 3. 'Tuesday, February 11, 1986, 2 PM <br /> All of the above informat.ional workshops will be conducted at the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District Board Room, 1.601 E. Hazelton Ave. , Stockton, CA.
