iBANKS & CO <br /> i TRAFFIC CONTROL AND SAFETY <br /> A. Any employee flagging or working in traffic will be furnished and required <br /> to wear a fluorescent warning vest. <br /> iB. Always be alert and aware of the traffic at all times. <br /> i C. Always work within the established barricades or traffic barriers. Proper <br /> precautions and warnings will be used if it becomes necessary to <br /> temporarily leave the barricaded area. <br /> D. Proper warning, directive, routing signs and barricades shall be in place <br /> for as long as is necessary to complete the work within highway right of <br /> ways. <br /> iE. Never assume that traffic sees you. Use vehicle lights and flashers to <br /> warn others of your presence while setting up traffic signs and bar- <br /> ricades. <br /> i F. Because of the various and changing patterns of traffic, conditions and <br /> work areas it would be impossible to list and diagram all possible <br /> i situations. A supervisor will be present and direct all traffic detours <br /> and coordinating efforts to insure safe traffic controls and employee <br /> safety. <br /> iG. On foggy days do not attempt to work on busy streets or highways until <br /> adequate visibility is obtained. <br /> H. In foggy conditions, double up on barricades around work site and be <br /> alert. <br /> iJ. Never leave an excavation open or improperly barricaded. <br /> iEMERGENCY MEDICAL PROCEDURES <br /> i A. Each employee shall make himself aware of the location of all emergency <br /> equipment, procedures and telephone numbers. <br /> iB. First aid kits are located behind the seat in every company truck. <br /> C. Emergency procedure is outlined in this program and a copy is in the glove <br /> compartment of each company truck. <br /> i D. Emergency telephone numbers will be posted on the sun-visor of each <br /> 9 Y <br /> company truck. <br /> ' E. Restock first aid kit when necessary. <br /> i <br /> i17 SITE SAFETY PLAN <br />
