CA 90670 Sunnyvale, CA 94089 <br /> Re: Former Circle K <br /> 7647 Pacific Ave <br /> Stockton, CA 95207-1930 <br /> This office has received the permit application submitted by Cal Phase Construction Inc. for the <br /> temporary closure of three underground storage tanks (USTs) at the above referenced location. <br /> Prior to approval of this permit, the following information must be submitted: <br /> 1. Letter from tank owner stating that the USTs will again be used for the storage of <br /> hazardous substances within the next 12 months. [California Code or Regulations (CCR) <br /> 2670(b)] <br /> 2. All lines and tanks shall be tested for leaks and a report submitted to this office. <br /> Secondary containment testing on the lines were tested on May 22, 2006 and a report has <br /> already been submitted to this office. The tank test can be accomplished by hydrostatic <br /> or secondary containment test methods. [CCR 2670 (g)] <br /> 3. The Scope of Work provided by Cal Phase Construction does not explain how the tanks <br /> will be inerted to preclude an explosion and remain inerted as often as necessary. Make <br /> the necessary modifications to the Scope of Work to address this issue. [CCR 2671 <br /> (a)(2)] <br /> 4. The USTs shall be inspected by the owner or operator at least once every three months to <br /> verify that the temporary closure measures are still in place. Provide information as to <br /> who is performing these inspections and how the inspections are being performed. [CCR <br /> 2671 (c)] <br /> After these items are received by this office, the application will be reviewed for approval.
