Tank & piping will be transported udder manifest to H & I -I Ship <br />service. 220 China Basin, San Francisco. <br />Residual fuel will be pickup & and recycle by California oil_ <br />recyclers. <br />7. Tank will be empty of product, and 200 # dry ice will, be added to <br />tank to purge the fumes from the tank. <br />8. After tank is removed from excavation soil samples will be <br />collected from the bottom of the excavation. The samples will be <br />taking from 2' to 4' in to native soil at each end of the tank. <br />Clean brass tubes will be driven into soil collected by !the bucket <br />of the backhoe according to the criteria of "Sampling protocol for <br />routine tank removals." <br />Soil samples will also be collected to at 20' intervals under the <br />product piping and one under the dispenser. <br />The ends of the samples tubes will be covered with aluminum foil <br />and plastic caps, and sealed with electrical tape. After collecting <br />-each soil sample, it will be labelled and placed into a chilled ice <br />chest for delivery to the analytical laboratory. <br />/_�, _: 7- , .
