The scope of the field work was discussed in the Phase II Assessment Workplan and Health and
Safety Plan dated October 1996, sent to you under separate cover prior to initialization of the field
work, and attached in Appendix IV of this report. Completion of this report was delayed by several
1 site issues.
In general, we did not encounter significant hazardous materials issues at the site with the exception
1 of a waste oil tank (that was recently removed) on the northeast corner of North Sacramento Street
and East Pine Street, and an abandoned tank (presence confirmed by the City of Lodi personnel) at
the northeast corner of South Sacramento and East Oak Street.
1 We appreciate the opportunity to work with you on this project. We believe that the entry agreement
with SPTCo requires submission of a copy of this report to them. The County of San Joaquin,
1 Environmental Health Division, will also require a copy. Additional copies have been enclosed. If
you have any questions concerning this report or if we can be of further assistance, please do not
hesitate to call our office.
1 Sincerely,
1 ESPANA GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTING
?icker CEG REA arlos Espana, GE
1 Senior Project Geologist Principal Engineer
Copies: 8 to WSA/Aun:Dick Tilles
E168P1R1.WSA
1
1
