f' s I'd <br /> A <br /> �y�At H; rLrH <br /> ADDENDUM ALN F1Rt�' { rGM1i: <br /> The purpose of this addendum is to clarify some points in the workplans sub- <br /> mitted to the San Joaquin County Health Department by Canonie Environmental <br /> Services Corp. (Canonie) on behalf of Southern Pacific Transportation <br /> Company (SPTCo. ) . The workplans outline the regulations and procedures to <br /> be followed while performing the work necessary to remove underground fuel <br /> tanks from the sites in Lodi and Tracy, California. Unless site conditions <br /> change, the workplans and the clarifications will be followed: <br /> o The depth to ground water ranges between five and twelve feet <br /> below grade. As stated in the introduction and in Section 2.5.2 <br /> of the workplan, the removal of the tanks will be in accordance <br /> with the California Underground Storage Tank Regulations, Califor- <br /> nia Administrative Code (CAC) Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchapter 16, <br /> adopted January 18, 1985, amended June 6, 1985. These regulations <br /> explain the necessary procedures to follow when ground water is <br /> encountered. <br /> o A modified EPA Method 8020 (soil) and EPA Method 602 (water) will <br /> be used to analyze samples for Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene (BTX) . <br /> o PFS Waste Control Services, Inc. (PFS) , EPA #CAD98116445, DHS <br /> #704144 will triple-rinse the tanks on-site. The rinsate will be <br /> containerized in 55 gallon drums and hauled as manifested <br /> hazardous waste to an approved TSD facility or a Class 1 landfill. <br /> The cleaned tanks will be hauled to a scrap yard under a bill of <br /> lading, and a certificate of destruction will be acquired for each <br /> tank. <br /> CanonteEnvir onmentdl <br />
