We removed the (2) tanks and secured soil samples from beneath the fill ends per the required health codes. During the first sampling on 9/27/889 we noted the area around the 10,000 gallon tank appeared to be contaminated so at that time another sample was secured (5) feet below the first sample. Results of the samples are: 10,000 Gallon 2 foot . . . . . 279000 06,000 Gallon 2 foot . . . . . 15,000 10,000 Gallon 7 foot . . . . . 22,000 Subsegently a 16x16xi2 area centered beneath the 7 foot sample was removed, whose results were: Bottom . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . We excavated the 16x16 back under the drive and raised island slab to the point of possible cave in. The customer didn't want the concrete island distrubed, nor to pay for shoring. We feel that plume of contamination was removed due to the (2) different readings. The site was aired in excess of (17) working days, and was open for (19) total days with no water filtering into It. therefore, there is no danger of contamina- tion of the water table.
