Shelton Road Lindon, CA Dear Mr. Moe: Based on our recent meeting regarding the above-referenced tank, I respectfully submit the following: The asphalt plant and 'Storage tank at the above-referenced location was sold to Mr. Tim Bertagnelli of Carson City, Nevada. The plant was dismantled and moved to Nevada in the late summer of 1986. The underground fuel storage tank was also removed and taken to Nevada by Mr. Bertagnelli . Unfortunately, Mr. Bertagnelli failed to take the proper regulatory steps for removal of an underground tank. Attempts on our part to have Mr. .Bertagnelli respond to your letter of December 9, 1986 have been fruitless. In that Industrial Asphalt was the owner of the tank at the time-it was registered, we will undertake the steps necessary to complete the closure. Industrial Asphalt operated the asphalt plant under a sub-lease agreement with a Mr. Don Meridian, the original lease holder and gravel plant operator. It is my understanding the property is presently held under a trust agreement by several owners. Enclosed is a map showing the site location north of Sheldon Road. The exact location occupied by the tank prior to removal has been established in the field by the plant engineer. It should be noted that the tank in question was placed four feet into the original ground.
