Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
RE: Addendum to the permit number 88-2955 to install monitoring wells at former
Chevron SS 9-1918, 45 East Harding Way, Stockton, California: work plan to
install additional monitoring wells and soil borings
Dear Ms. Hinson:
In mid-November 1988, I spoke with you on the behalf on Chevron U.S.A. Inc. about the
possibility of appending the permit number 88-2955 to install monitoring wells at former
Chevron SS 9-1918, located at 45 East Harding Way, Stockton, California. The original
permit number 88-2955 issued to Chevron on 4 November 1988 authorized the installation
six monitoring wells. Those six wells were drilled and completed between 7 and 11
November 1988. The wells were developed, and the ground water was sampled on 15
November 1988. The analyses are complete, and the data is summarized in a report
submitted to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. for review and transmittal. The following work plan
presents a brief summary of this investigation and a work plan to install four more
monitoring wells and to drill five soil borings that will be completed for potential use in soil
venting.
Also included is a completed permit form that lacks only a signature of a representative of
Spectrum Exploration Inc. I have enclosed with the form a check for$50, the fee for
overtime review. Chevron is anxious to move ahead with this additional work so that a
remediation system can be designed, reviewed, and installed. Your expeditious review of
this work plan will be greatly appreciated.
Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me or the project geologist
Kevin Kennedy at (415) 283-7077.
Sincerely,
t
Terry R.
