1� <br /> SECOR <br /> Internattonallncorporated <br /> June 7, 2002 <br /> Project 77BP 43287 00 0030 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan - <br /> ' San Joaquin County Public Health ServicesCD <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor <br /> ' Stockton, California 95202 : <br /> Re Site Assessment and Aquifer Testing Results <br /> ' ARCO Service Station#4932 <br /> 16 East Harding Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> ' Site Code # 1136 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> ' SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company to document the results of an additional subsurface <br /> investigation and performance of aquifer testing at the site referenced above (Figures 1 <br /> z and 2) The purpose of this work was to assess the on-site vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the site, and to determine whether <br /> ' groundwater extraction (GWE) and treatment is a feasible remedial alternative for <br /> removing and controlling the migration of dissolved subsurface petroleum <br /> ' hydrocarbons <br /> The work conducted on-site was performed in accordance with SECOR's Response to <br /> SJCPHS Letter dated December 7, 2001 and Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment <br /> tand Feasibility Testing dated January 15, 2002, the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Division (SJCEHD) approval letter dated February 14, 2002 (Attachment A), <br /> Addendum to Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment and Feasibility Testing Dated <br /> iJanuary 15, 2002 dated March 11, 2002, and the subsequent SJCEHD approval letter <br /> dated March 13, 2002 Documentation of the completion of fieldwork activities <br /> 1 associated with the installation of additional off-site GWE and groundwater monitoring <br /> wells as proposed in the past work plan submittals will be submitted in a separate <br /> report SECOR is currently scheduled to complete the installation of two shallow off- <br /> site monitoring wells, two deep off-site monitoring wells, and one off-site GWE well <br /> between June 10 through 14, 2002, in compliance with the SJCEHD deadline of June <br /> 28, 2002 stated in the February 14, 2002 RWQCB Ietter (Figure 3, Attachment A) A <br /> summary of site background and previous investigations, the on-site subsurface <br /> investigation, and aquifer testing are presented in the following sections <br /> 1 <br /> �` 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fax www Secor com <br />
