SECOR <br />' International Incorporated <br />' November 6, 2000 <br /> Project 077 41983 330 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Servicesa <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor —, <br /> Stockton, California <br /> FZ <br /> Re Site Assessment Report <br />' ARCO Station#4932 ` <br /> 16 East Harding Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> SECOR International Incorporated(SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of <br /> tAtlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) to document the installation of three groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-3), one groundwater monitonng/vapor <br /> ' • extraction well (MW-4), and one vapor extraction well (SVE-1) at the site referenced <br /> above (Figures 1 and 2) The purpose of this work was to evaluate the horizontal and <br /> vertical extent of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the site This work was <br /> performed as desenbed in the Work Plan for Site Assessment, dated March 24, 2000 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services approved the Work Plan as indicated in <br /> their Ietter dated March 31, 2000 (Attachment A) <br /> 1 <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> ' The site is located at the intersection of Center Street and Harding Way in Stockton, <br /> California, and is an operating AMIPM mini-mart and ARCO service station The site <br /> is located in mixed residential and commercial area of Stockton Facilities at the site <br /> ' currently include one 20,000-gallon and one 22,000 gasoline USTs and associated <br /> product lines and dispensers <br /> ' Excavation and removal of three gasoline USTs, and associated dispensers and product <br /> lines was performed by Gettler Ryan Construction of Dublin, California between May <br /> ' 25 and June 9, 1999 The excavated USTs consisted of three 10,000-gallon capacity <br /> tanks of double-walled fiberglass construction Over-excavation was performed in the <br /> UST complex to accommodate the larger new USTs Approximately 631 tons of soil <br /> ' was over-excavated from the UST complex Over-excavation of the UST complex was <br /> . completed and samples were collected on June 9, 1999 Six samples were collected <br /> from the bottom of the UST complex at approximately 19 feet bgs TPHg and MtBE <br /> 1 <br /> k' 3017 Kilgore Road, .Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fax www secor com <br />
