t <br /> SECOR <br /> 11 '' ed <br /> ��' Internationallncorporat <br /> DEC lr F <br /> QQ <br /> December 10, 1999 <br /> Project 077 41774 003 <br /> Ms Loin Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, 3'd Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Re Soil Sampling during UST, Product Line, <br /> and Dispenser Removal Activities <br /> ARCO Service Station 4932 <br /> 16 East Harding Way <br /> Stockton, Calnforma <br /> PHS/EBD Site Code 1136 <br /> I <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) has prepared this letter on behalf of ARCO <br /> Products Company (ARCO)to document the excavation and removal of three gasoline <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs), and associated product lines and dispensers at the <br /> site referenced above (Figures i and 2) This work was performed in accordance with <br /> SECOR's Work Plan for Soil Sampling during Product Lines/Dispensers Upgrade, <br /> dated April 13, 1999 and Addendum to the Work Plan, dated May 10, 1999 The work <br /> plan was approved by San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) in their letter, dated May 10, 1999 (Attachment A) <br /> UST REMOVAL ACTIVITES <br /> Excavation and removal of three gasoline USTs, and associated dispensers and product <br /> lines were performed by Gettler Ryan Construction of Dublin, California between May <br /> 25 and June 9, 1999 The excavated USTs consisted of three 12,000-gallon capacity <br /> tanks of double-walled fiberglass construction All three USTs had no apparent holes o, _k,,, <br /> cracks The three USTs were hauled by ECI to their Richmond, California facility for <br /> disposal Groundwater was not encountered within the UST excavation Excavation <br /> and sampling activities were observed and approved by Lettnta Briggs and Lon Duncan <br /> of the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD <br /> Soil Sampling--Gasoline UST Removal <br /> On May 25, 1999, a total of six soil samples were collected from the UST excavation <br /> Soil samples were collected from six locations(designated T-IN, T-1 S, T-2N, T-2 S, T- <br /> 9972 Bii%me,s Park Dave Suite 100 Sacramento, CA 95827 (916) 364-1880 (916) 364-1889 hav itwu secorcom <br />
