The training should include
hazardous waste labeling and storage, disposal or recycling, Identification of hazardous waste.
Personnel who work in the building but don't handle hazardous waste only require emergency response training which
you have already done.
I attached a slate guidance document. The below quote Is taken from page 5.
"...must include instruction that teaches personnel
hazardous waste management procedures(including
contingency plan implementation)relevant to the
positions in which they are employed."
Call me if you have any questions/comments,
Qarreu Backus
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E Main Street,Stockton CA 97202-3029
telephone:(209)468-2986
fax:(209)468-3433
email: sbackus(gZsMU.com
htip://www, gov,orgtvhd/ProgritmWOthor,Vunifled.him
From: Mike Baltzer[mailto:mikeb@bigvalleyford.com]
Sent: Friday, February 24, 2012 10:47 AM
To: Garrett Backus [EH]
Subject:
Garrett,
I hope this will suffice for our training required, if not please provide me detail of the training required so I can
forward to my KPA representative.
I appreciate your assistance.
Mike Baltzer
Parts Manager
Big Valley Ford Lincoln
W.(209)870-4400
C:(209)608-3682
F: (209)87(-4335
2/24/2012
