If you or your business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous* waste, then you need to obtain an EPA ID number. All others must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web site http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to apply for an ID number. Immediately obtain an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD. This is a minor violation. 02 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. A pH waste neutralization system was observed during the inspection. Waste water generated from the plant can either go into a 1000 gallon acid waste tank, a 1000 gallon alkaline waste tank, or directly into the neutralization 0 system. Liquid from the dipping tanks can enter the secondary containment. Make a complete hazardous waste determination per Title 22 California Code of Regulations requirements for the spent wastes from the dipping tanks, the acid waste tank, and the alkaline waste tank. Send the results to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD). The owner oroperator shall prepare a contingency plan designed to minimize hazards to human health or the environment from fires, explosions, or any* unplanned release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water and immediately implement that plan whenever there is a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste which could threaten human health or the environment. The manager stated that a full training plan was in the process of being generated and that it had not been completed and administerd.
