Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste During the inspection this aerosol can of solvent was placed on the shelf for continued use Immediately continue to make a hazardOUS waste determination for any waste generated by this business, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this type of waste will be managed This is a repeat violation,Class II 115 CCR 66262.40(a)Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. Manifest number 008642929JJK was found without a signed off copy from the destination facility Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the destination facility on site for three years and have them readily available for review. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 35 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter the generator shall contact the transporter andlor the owner or operator of the designated facility to determine the status of the waste. If the generator did not receive a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest within 45 days of the date that the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit an Exception Report that includes a legible copy of the missing manifest, and a cover letter signed by the generator explaining the efforts to locate the hazardous waste and the results of those efforts Exception reports shall be submitted to DTSC Report Repository Generator Information Services Section P O Box 806 Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit an exception report to DTSC By 4-19-15, submit to the EHO a copy of the signed off copy of the manifests or a copy of the exception report submitted to DTSC This is a repeat violation. This shelf has parts that that.4ive leaked lubrication fluid onto the shop floor below the shelf It appears that the spilled lubrication fluid has not been cleaned up and that oily debris has been left to accumulate there. Just east of this shelf is a 75 ton P8 press that has an accumulation of oily debris below it on the shop floor Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire,explosion. or release of hazardous waste to air, soil,or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment.
