Heartland Steel Pro( s West, LLC <br /> Corporate Office S PA C E R A K <br /> 213 Kelly Street 2420 Wills Street <br /> 0 Lodi, CA 95240 Marysville MI 48040 <br /> 209.367.4444 810.364.7421 <br /> RE: Compliance of Environmental Health Department inspection <br /> Mr. Cacapit, <br /> In response to the inspection of our facility dated July 26 2011, Heartland Steel Products <br /> West LLC has taken the following actions to ensure compliance. <br /> 1. Item 7 ; we have determined that the metal shavings are Hazardous and will be <br /> removed as such <br /> 2. Item 11; the coolant as well as the oils that were leaking from our equipment have <br /> been corrected and the residue on the floor has been removed with proper absorbing <br /> compound. We have placed a secondary containment container under the compressor, <br /> with absorbent compound to catch possible oil leaks and will be able to dispose of <br /> properly. <br /> 3. Item 20; The 4 drums of paint waste and the 4 drums of hazardous oily waste water <br /> are being properly labeled and removed by Evergreen Oil Company. Also the <br /> Hazardous waste oil tank has been labeled and Evergreen is making arrangements to <br /> remove as required. <br /> 4. Item 27; The 3 drums of waste paint and 3 drums of oil waste have proper lids and <br /> our employee's have been instructed to keep them closed and sealed, with the <br /> exception of placing material into them. <br /> 5. Item 52; an emergency coordinator is now in place and the form that we received has <br /> been populated with information needed in response to an emergency. It has also been <br /> posted. <br /> 6. Item 60, 61, 62; we are sending the signed copies of manifest's along with this letter. <br /> 7. Item 83; Universal waste has been labeled and is being removed by Evergreen Oil <br /> We have contracted with WGR Environmental Health and Safety as well as Evergreen <br /> Oil to assist Heartland Steel in becoming and remaining compliant with Environmental <br /> regulations. <br /> If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 209-367-4444 ext. 304. <br /> (esj�ctfully, <br /> Darryl Stonghe <br /> Heartland Steel West LLC <br /> SpaceRAK <br />
