• . <br /> JB HUNT TRANSPORTATION <br /> Position Description <br /> Functional Title: Rail Ramp Manager <br /> Exempt (Y/N): Yes Department: Maintenance <br /> Date: February, 2005 Reports To: Regional Director of Maintenance <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The incumbent is responsible to guide and oversee rail maintenance mangers, ensure ongoing and <br /> mandatory employee safety training is performed, work closely with shop and conduct shop audits and <br /> safety inspections and unsafe act identification. Monitor and audit local rail contractor in regard to proper <br /> handling procedures, quality inspections of work performed, data entry of repair orders and reviewing and <br /> closing of same. Review repair orders from other rail facilities for accuracy. <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <br /> 1. Provide overall safety for employees,training and observations. <br /> 2. Audit rail facilities as scheduled. <br /> 3. Provide quality inspections of work performed. <br /> 4. Provide manager training, working with them on how to document information in such a manor <br /> that the information cannot be disputed. <br /> 5. Provide inventory management, cycle counts of inventory, tire and tools on a daily basis. <br /> 6. Perform data entry, review repair orders and close repair orders. <br /> 7. Perform scrap tire analysis once a month. <br /> 8. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. <br /> FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Annual budget $2.1MM <br /> Facilities/Equipment $260,000 <br /> Impact on Revenues $N/A <br /> Impact on Expenses $2.1MM <br /> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Supervises four subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 30 employees in the department.
