Figure 1 presents the site location. <br /> 1 David Carls of the San Joaquin Local Health District, requested that this <br /> plan be developed to assess the nature and extent of potential contamination <br /> in the pond and associated drainage ditch . This document includes back- <br /> ground information , a facility description, and the sampling and analysis <br /> plan. In addition, Attachment A provides answers to questions in the San <br /> Joaquin Local Health District - Site Cleanup Assessment Plan Requirements <br /> 1 document. A copy of the document is included in Attachment A for reference. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> 1 During a visual site inspection, Alan Biederman of the San Joaquin Local <br /> Health District , Environmental Health Division identified that the storm- <br /> water collection pond was possibly contaminated from runoff containing <br /> 1 petroleum hydrocarbons . In response, Stockton Scavenger Association <br /> retained EMCON Associates to assess the pond and perform remedial work , if <br /> necessary. EMCON contacted Alan Biederman and was subsequently directed to <br /> 1 David Carls of the San Joaquin Local Health District, Environmental Health <br /> Division . This letter has been prepared for submission to David Carls , who <br /> is presently the primary regulatory agency contact for the project. <br /> 1 FACILITY DESCRIPTION <br /> Drawing 1 presents the facility topography and the storm-water collection <br /> 1 system. The drainage ditch that received overflow from the storm-water <br /> collection pond is also indicated .
