1 <br /> underground tanks within 500 feet of the parcel. The nearest tanks, <br /> that have already been removed were diesel tanks belonging to <br /> Safeway across the road. There are three underground tanks on the <br /> Stockton Scavenger Association facility, in the vicinity of the fuel <br /> islands. Four other underground tanks have been removed within the <br /> past year. <br /> Septic Systems: Jim Miller, of the San Joaquin Local Health District, <br /> Environmental Health Division, found no evidence of septic tanks <br /> within 500 feet of the parcel. This industrial area discharges to the <br /> Stockton sanitary sewer system. <br /> 1 Underground Utilities: According to Nancy Deetsin of Pacific Bell, all <br /> 1 the telephone facilities in this area are aerial, and are connected to <br /> the Pacific Bell lines, unless pirating is occurring. A contact at Sprint, <br /> 1 confirmed that Sprint had no fiber optics in this area. Steve Okamota, <br /> of PG&E said there are 12 kilo-volt (lv) overhead electrical lines <br /> 1 running along Navy Drive, and gas lines are also present in the <br /> vicinity. <br /> 1 h) There are no ground-lirater monitoring wells at the site at this time. <br /> Locations of proposed soil borings are shown in Figure 2 and discussed in <br /> 1 th text of this letter. <br /> i) IThe storm water collection pond has been in use for approximately 10 to <br /> 207ears. It was constructed by excavating an approximate 40 x 60-foot <br /> 1 area to a depth of 6-feet, and installing two underground storm water <br /> drain lines with drain inlets which drain into the pond.
