Our <br />primary objective is to contain the oil and <br />prevent it from reaching a waterway and <br />impacting the environment BUT only if we can do <br />it safely. Let's review our site specific spill <br />response procedures together. <br />Discuss site specific procedures that may be <br />used to block oil flow from reaching and <br />impacting our neighbors, community or the <br />environment here and discuss with <br />participants included in the Notes box below. <br />Before we leave this topic, I want to emphasize <br />that if the spill or leak <br />— cannot be safely controlled by facility <br />personnel <br />— confined within the boundaries of the <br />facility OR <br />— the oil may reach the site discharge point <br />IMMEDIATELY CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR OR <br />DISPATCH! <br />Response to such incidents may require the <br />assistance of outside contractors or other <br />responders to prevent imminent impact to the <br />environment.
