All facilities shall be equipped with an internal communication or alarm <br /> system, a device capable of calling outside emergency help, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment at all times. Immediately provide fresh absorbent and maintain on site. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> The hazardous waste container in the back of the store was not closed and the contents were open to the air. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close <br /> these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> The owner stated that the hazardous waste drum on site was leftover from the previous owner. The transfer in <br /> ownership happened more that 180 days ago. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per <br /> month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy <br /> of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> The hazardous waste steel drum in the back of the store did not contain any labeling. All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
