The generator must ensure that all <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency <br /> procedures. Provide proof of training to the EHD for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste for 2018 were not found on site. The manager <br /> stated that used oil had been picked up for disposal 1.5 months prior to the inspection. Hazardous waste <br /> generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a <br /> consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately <br /> locate a copy of all manifests and receipts from the last year, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 113 HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Copies of hazardous waste disposal records for 2018 were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall <br /> retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting <br /> procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all <br /> manifests and receipts from the last year, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Bondo dust from sanding was observed all around the sanding area coating everything. The manager states that <br /> he sweeps up the dust 1-2 times a week. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of <br /> a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or <br /> the environment. Immediately clean the dust, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> The secondary containment in the used oil storage area was observed with free standing liquid in it.At the time of <br /> inspection,there were three 55 gallon drums in the secondary containment containing used oil. <br /> Spill control equipment must be cleaned, dried and readily available to be used in case of an emergency. <br /> Immediately begin this practice.
