MONITORING & RESPONSE PLAN <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> Pursuant to requirements set forth by State of California Health & Safety Code <br /> 40 C.F.R. 280.43 Sections 2632e1 and 2632e2, we propose the following procedures to <br /> be implemented upon completion of our UL 58 Double Wall U.S.T. installation. <br /> MONITORING <br /> A) Continuous electronic monitoring of the anular space and under pump <br /> pipe sumps shall be performed by the installation of a Veeder-Root model <br /> ILS 250 monitor equiped with audible and visual alarms. The monitor will be <br /> checked daily by designated personnel. <br /> B) The monitor and daily; inspection log will be located at the fuel <br /> pump island. <br /> C) The following personnel shall be designated to perform routine \ <br /> inspections of the monitoring system. \`�\ <br /> 1) Charles P. Training shall <br /> be provided by manufacturers representative. <br /> SPILL/LEAK RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> A) In the event of a primary tank leakage of product to secondary <br /> containment, a qualified licensed contractor shall be utilized to remove <br /> and dispose of liquids from the secondary containment. Tests shall be <br /> performed to determine point of release and repairs shall be performed <br /> timely. <br /> B) All releases determined not to be "False Alarms" shall be reported <br /> to San Joaquin County P.H.S.-E.H.D. within 24 hours. <br /> C) Spilled or leaked product (Gasoline or Diesel) will be disposed of <br /> as hazardous waste by a qualified carrier.
