New Underground Storage Tank Construction and Monitoring Standards <br /> Section 2632. Monitoring Requirements, Initial Responses, and Response Plan for New <br /> Underground Storage Tanks <br /> Part (e): All monitoring programs shall include the following: <br /> (1) Written routine monitoring procedure. <br /> (A) At least once per day the level of the underground storage tank shall be logged into <br /> the Auxiliary Operators Rounds sheet. <br /> (B) The level shall be read after lifting the cover from the analog level indicator atop <br /> the waste oil tank. <br /> (C) The waste oil underground storage tank is located south of the main turbine lube oil <br /> reservoir. The tank is not completely underground. <br /> (D) Shift supervisors are responsible for the auxiliary operators obtaining analog readings <br /> of the level in the waste oil tank. <br /> (E) Report(s) of a significant incident regarding the underground waste oil tank shall be <br /> written on a significant incident report form and must be completed and submitted <br /> promptly to the Operations Supervisor. <br /> (F) The preventative maintenance schedule for the monitoring equipment shall be in <br /> accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. <br /> (G) Training shall be provided for all personnel that are required to operate both the tank <br /> system and the monitoring equipment. <br /> (2) Response plan to any unauthorized release. All unauthorized releases to the secondary <br /> containment system will be removed and disposed of or recycled within the time consistent with the <br /> ability of the secondary containment system to contain the hazardous substance, but not more than <br /> 30 calendar days.
